The beauty of recent free-to-play Steam hit Omega Strikers is that players can grow attached to characters based on their design and personality, or through how effective the character is in matches. The indie game has voice work that brings the characters to life and adds another level of immersion.

From giant defensive warriors to sleek and cool anime-esque attackers, Omega Strikers is building a roster full of people players are falling in love with. With Omega Strikers' roster growing all the time, it's good to take a look at the best characters on the game's roster, as it will likely evolve alongside the actual gameplay of the title.
8 X
It's hard not to be a dope character when one's name is simply the letter X. He fits the mold of his name, The Eccentric Brawler, as he enforces his will on opponents in interesting ways. X is the type of frontline forward who wants to muddy up the field and cause chaos. His self-buff special ability increases his strikes and literal size, turning him from X to XL in the flash of an eye. Being able to serve as both a scoring forward and midline support character, it comes down to how the player wants to utilize his skill set.
7 Atlas
Atlas, along with Dubu, is a pure defending goalie who is meant to serve as a stone wall of protection for his team. He's a bit harder to learn and use effectively than some other primary defenders. Atlas has a ranged attack called Astral Projection, which can aid his forwards in a match, and pairs nicely with his secondary attack called Cosmic Eclipse.

Supporting teammates is the part of Atlas that requires some patience in learning. His ultimate summons a guardian that heals his allies and prevents them from being knocked out. Knowing when and where to activate Celestial Intervention can often swing the momentum of matches and set apart Atlas mains from Atlas rookies.
6 Juliette
Juliette is the one Omega Strikers character everyone knows, simply due to her being the game's mascot character. The Eager Rookie, as she's known, has a personality that sort of fits the mold of players entering the realm of Omega Strikers for the first time. She's the quintessential jack-of-all-trades character that was designed to give people an all-around character that's easy to pick up and use. That doesn't mean she's middle of the road, though, as her kit of moves can be devastating. Just understand that she's all gas no brakes and is a forward best utilized when constantly attacking and pressuring the opponent.
5 Juno
Don't let her cute appearance fool you, Juno is an absolute killer on the court whose skill set can become overwhelmingly annoying in the right hands. She has a connection with nature and as a result, she can spawn tiny slimes that move independently from her and can cause absolute chaos for her opponents. Not only do these slimes redirect the puck, but enemies that walk through them will have their movement slowed. New players might see her as a character that relies on luck and randomness, but skilled Juno mains know what they're doing.
4 Dubu
Dubu, who is known as The Endearing Defender, is the most heart-warming and welcoming character design in all of Omega Strikers. The large adorable anthropomorphic gerbil is as rotund as he is adorable. Thankfully he's quite useful on the court as well, as he happens to be one of the easier pick-up-and-play goalies currently on the roster. Dubu's ability package includes a role that stops the puck dead in its tracks, as well as a shield wall that can close off entire attacking angles for the opposing team. What makes him special is he also has a log throw that can be utilized both offensively and defensively. Opponent's shots into the log will be sent back, while friendly hits will inject the puck with a power and speed boost.
3 Estelle
Voiced by actor Laura Post, Estelle very much serves as the unofficial matriarch of the Omega Strikers roster. Her nickname is rather indicative of how she most efficiently affects matches, as she has been called The Stunning Sniper. Among the ranged characters in Omega Strikers, she's one of the easier ones to pick up and play. Due to working at range, getting to the puck and moving around can be an issue, but thankfully she has a blink in her kit called Rose Warp. It not only provides quick traversal but after Estelle warps she then can fire a projectile at the nearest enemy.
2 Era
A large learning curve for Omega Strikers players is being cognizant and aware of everything occurring on the field. It can be tough to multitask following the puck and being aware of one's surroundings, but Era is a character who makes those unable to do so pay. She's an enchantress, who comes packed with a special ability that allows her to shoot off a projectile that builds into a chaotic storm.

The actual name is Magic Maelstrom and both support/backline players and goalies need to visually identify when she uses it. Era isn't physically imposing, but it's that exact approachable and welcoming appearance that makes her a secret weapon that catches teams off guard.
1 Asher
Asher is one of the newer characters on the roster and she's already asserted herself as the clear and away best character currently in the game. Most of the characters are designed in a way that makes them either defenders or attackers, whereas Asher walks the fine line of being able to do both quite competently. Her kit allows her to be a bruiser that can damage opponents, with some offensive firepower thrown in. She's also one of the larger characters and her presence is felt on the court. Asher isn't for the faint of heart as the learning curve for her is a bit difficult, but is worth the investment.
