So in the current game I'm playing I've been using the Reverse Engineer Arcane Technology from minor artifacts every time as soon as it was recharged and because I was always getting +10% research, I expected it was supposed to do that all the time until I suddenly got the ability to produce a Fallen Empire's building (Nourishment Center) instead.
So my question for future reference is how rare is it for this event to occur?

Someone on Steam posted this:
This is the code.
random_list = {
10 = {owner = { country_event = { id = ancrel.10001 }}} #Small Science reward
5 = {owner = { country_event = { id = ancrel.10002 }}} #10% bonus
1 = { owner = { country_event = { id = ancrel.10003 }}} #20% progress into a random tech
1 = { owner = { #Fallen Empire Building, broken into a second list to decide which one.
random_list = {
10 = { country_event = { id = ancrel.10004 } }
10 = { country_event = { id = ancrel.10005 } }
10 = { country_event = { id = ancrel.10006 } }
10 = { country_event = { id = ancrel.10007 } }
10 = { country_event = { id = ancrel.10008 } }
10 = { country_event = { id = ancrel.10009 } }I can't speak to anyone's results. But this is what's in the file.
So it should work as:
10/17 chance to get a small amount of science
5/17 chance to get a 10% bonus for 5 years
1/17 to get part of a random tech
1/17 one fallen empire building

The action was fixed in 2.3.3.
- The result of "Reverse-Engineer Minor Artifacts" is now properly randomized

Wait, you can get FE buildings with this? That's very interesting!!

It lets you build one of a specific FE building. It won't let you, for example, build nourishment centers at will everywhere.

Makes sense. Still cool you can have at least one though. But I wonder if there's already a mod that takes out that limit.

Just one as in Empire Unique, Planet Unique, or as in like you have to roll the blueprint a second time to get another?

There are six different FE buildings you could potentially receive: nanoforge, dimensional fabricator, skydome, affluence center, nourishment center, class 4 singularity. If I'm reading the code correctly you can keep rerolling the same building.
Code:
country_event = { id = ancrel.10006 title = "ancrel.10004.name" desc = "ancrel.10004.dimensional_fabricator" picture = GFX_evt_ancient_records is_triggered_only = yes option = { name = "EXCELLENT" hidden_effect = { owner = { change_variable = { which = dimensional_fabricator_build_count value = 1 } } } }}

According to how I understand the code there is a small probability that the same building will be roled twice.
But in this case nothing will happen as the event has: "is_triggered_only = yes".
Am I right or did I miss something?

The "is_triggered_only = yes" in a nutshell means that this is triggered by you spending the artifacts to reverse engineer arcane technology. It's reading off of another event is all.

You can roll the building multiple times and build them but you can only build one per a roll. I rolled two auto-forges in my current game and have them both built on my capital. Who needs the Galatron when you can build your own fallen empire!

As noted by the others, it should let you build one for each time you get that result.
